Irak İslami Direniş Cephesi, askeri ve güvenlik kapasitesini artırma ve güçlerinin hazırlık seviyesini yükseltme kararlılığını yineledi. Cephe, hiçbir koşulda silah bırakmayacağını duyurdu.

Cephe tarafından yayımlanan açıklamada, 'Silahımız asla pazarlık konusu değildir; aksine o bizim akidemiz ve omuzlarımızdaki ahdimizdir.' ifadeleri kullanıldı. Mevcut askeri kapasiteyle yetinmeyeceklerini vurgulayan Direniş Cephesi, 'İsrail ve ABD' tarafından yöneltilen tehditlerin boyutuyla orantılı olarak, askeri güçlerini her açıdan geliştirmek için tüm güçleriyle çalışacaklarını belirtti.

Ketaib Hizbullah Genel Sekreteri Ebu Hüseyin el-Hamidavi de Irak Hükümetine ve üst düzey yetkililere yönelik sert bir uyarıda bulundu. Hamidavi, hükümet yetkililerinin 'direnişin iradesine tabi olması' gerektiğini savundu.

Hamidavi, son dönemde düzenlenen cenaze törenlerine halkın gösterdiği yoğun katılımı siyasi bir mesaj olarak yorumladı. Bu kitlesel katılımı 'milyonluk bir halk referandumu' olarak nitelendiren Hamidavi, Iraklıların bu vesileyle İslami Direnişe ve grubun silahlı gücüne olan desteğini bir kez daha teyit ettiğini öne sürdü.

The Iraqi Islamic Resistance Front has reiterated its determination to increase its military and security capabilities and raise the level of preparedness of its forces. The Front has announced that it will not give up its arms under any circumstances.

In a statement released by the Front, it was stated that 'Our weapons are never a subject for negotiation; rather, they are our creed and the promise on our shoulders.' The Resistance Front emphasized that it will not be satisfied with its current military capabilities and will work with all its might to develop its military forces in all aspects, in proportion to the level of threats posed by 'Israel and the US'.

The Secretary-General of the Kata'ib Hezbollah, Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, also issued a stern warning to the Iraqi government and senior officials. Al-Hamidawi argued that government officials 'must be subject to the will of the resistance'.

Al-Hamidawi interpreted the large public participation in recent funeral ceremonies as a political message. He described this mass participation as a 'million-man referendum', and claimed that through this, the Iraqi people have once again confirmed their support for the Islamic Resistance and the group's armed forces.
