İstanbul Üsküdar Belediyesi Meclisi, 8 Eylül 2026 tarihinde yeni başkan vekilini belirlemek üzere toplanarak dördüncü tur oylamayı gerçekleştirdi. AK Parti adayı Dündar Ziya Gültekin, dördüncü turda 23 oy alarak salt çoğunluğu sağladı ve başkan vekili seçildi.

Seçim sürecinde dört tur oylama yapıldı. İlk turda AK Parti adayı 21, CHP adayı Sibel Tan Çetinkaya 19 oy aldı; her iki adayın da birer oyu oy pusulalarındaki yazım hataları nedeniyle iptal edildi. İkinci turda CHP adayı 20, AK Parti adayı 22 oy alırken, üçüncü turda sonuç 23-19 AK Parti lehine gerçekleşti. Dördüncü turda aynı 23-19 sonucu tekrarlanarak kesinleşti.

Seçim öncesinde Üsküdar Belediye Meclisi'nde dört CHP üyesi AK Parti'ye geçiş yaptı ve CHP'li üye Ekrem Baki tutuklandı; bu durum oy dengesini 21-21 seviyesine getirdi. 5 Eylül 2026'da gerçekleştirilemeyen oylama oturumu, 8 Eylül'de tekrarlanarak sonuçlandı.

The Istanbul Üsküdar Municipal Council convened on September 8, 2026, to select a new deputy mayor and conducted a fourth-round vote. AK Party candidate Dündar Ziya Gültekin received 23 votes in the fourth round, securing an absolute majority and being elected deputy mayor.

Four voting rounds were held during the election process. In the first round, the AK Party candidate received 21 votes and CHP candidate Sibel Tan Çetinkaya received 19 votes; one vote for each candidate was invalidated due to spelling errors on the ballot papers. In the second round, the CHP candidate obtained 20 votes and the AK Party candidate 22 votes, while the third round resulted in a 23‑19 margin in favor of the AK Party. The fourth round repeated the same 23‑19 result, confirming the outcome.

Before the election, four CHP members of the Üsküdar Municipal Council switched to the AK Party and CHP member Ekrem Baki was arrested; this shifted the vote balance to a 21‑21 tie. The voting session that could not be held on September 5, 2026, was repeated on September 8 and produced the final result.
